Tuesday 1.3 Welcome back and Happy New Year!!! Today we took the Genetics Test. If you were absent you will need to make that up in the Testing Center when you return. For h.w. you need to finish the F.E.R.P. (Final Exam Review Packet). The Genetics Research Project Presentations will begin tomorrow. Make sure you are ready to present. You should have already emailed me you slideshow. If you did not, do that ASAP! You also need a printed copy of the Outline and Works Cited page. You will turn those in on the day you present. I look forward to seeing all your presentations!
Friday 12.16 Today we listened to the song, "I'm My Own Grandpa" and then drew a pedigree that followed along with the song lyrics. For the rest of class, students worked on the F.E.R.P. You need to complete Unit 5 on Inheritance over winter break. The Test on Genetics will be the Tuesday we return from break, 1.3.12. You also need to complete the Genetics Research Project. That is due on Tuesday as well. Please email me the PowerPoint. If it is too big, then bring it to class on a flash drive. You need to print your outline and Works Cited page (in MLA documentation) and turn both of those in on Tuesday too. I hope you have a wonderful holiday and a very Happy and safe New Year! Then we took notes on Karyotypes and Pedigrees. For h.w. you need to complete the Pedigree Practice w.s. that looks at autosomal recessive and dominant inheritance and Sex–Linked recessive and Dominant Inheritance. You also need to complete Unit 3 of the F.E.R.P. on Evolution. The Test on Genetics will be the Tuesday we return from break, 1.3.12

We also looked at some Monohybrid Crosses. For h.w. you need to complete the Monohybrid Practice problems that we started in class and read Section 8.2 and answer the Section Review Questions.
